We're seeking a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Assistant to support our Chefs and help deliver nutritious, well-presented meals for our residents every day.What you'll doAssist with food preparation, basic cooking, plating, and meal service.Support special dietary requirements (textures, allergens) under Chef supervision.Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness (wash-up, floors, equipment).Complete HACCP records, temperature checks, and stock rotation (FIFO).Receive deliveries and store goods safely and efficiently.Work closely with nursing and care teams to ensure mealtimes run smoothly.Engage with residents courteously, protecting dignity, choice, and safety.What you'll needPrevious experience in a commercial kitchen, catering, or hospitality setting.Working knowledge of food safety/HACCP (Food Safety Level 2 or willingness to complete).Strong teamwork, time-management, and communication skills.Flexibility to work shifts including some weekends and bank holidays.Right to work in Ireland and ability to pass Garda Vetting & reference checks.Manual Handling certificate (or willingness to complete on commencement).What we offerCompetitive hourly rate with Sunday/Bank Holiday premium pay.Paid breaks and free meals on duty.Uniform provided, onsite parking, supportive induction and training.Ongoing upskilling (HACCP refreshers, Manual Handling, Allergen training).Predictable rotas in advance; flexible full-time or part-time hours.A friendly, values-driven workplace that puts residents first.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: €13.50 per hourExpected hours: 18 – 37.5 per weekBenefits:Food allowanceOn-site parkingStore discountWork authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
