Senior Software Quality Assurance Specialist
Overview:
This Senior Software Quality Assurance Specialist role is based in a busy branch located in Sandyford, Dublin, and involves ensuring the quality and reliability of cards payment systems and banking self-service systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure adherence to client QA standards.
* Create test cases based on business requirements.
* Plan, design, and execute test cases for ATMs (hardware and software), Base24 & Mainframe systems.
* Validate ATM transactions including cash deposit, withdrawal, balance enquiry etc.
* Identify, log, and track defects using test management tools.
* Test execution in test and pre-prod environments.
* Conduct exploratory tests during feature delivery and E2E tests at the end of each Sprint/release.
* Evaluate and mitigate risks and issues timely.
* Lead the project during unavailability of test lead.
* Prioritise defects with project stakeholders.
* Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and vendors during test planning and defect resolution.
* Update test artefacts as required.
* Support process improvements.
Requirements:
* Experience in ATM devices testing and familiarity with tools like ATM simulators.
* Complex application testing experience integrating with other systems and legacy back-ends.
* Base24 Classic or Base24-eps, Mainframe applications testing knowledge.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of test tools and industry standard best practices.
* Agile environment experience.
* JIRA and Confluence knowledge.
* Financial Services/Banking Industry knowledge and experience.
* Project planning, test case writing, and delivery experience.
* Flexibility and analytical problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills.
* Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
