This role is essential for ensuring timely, cost-effective availability of raw materials.
While not directly revenue-generating, it significantly mitigates risk and supports total cost-of-goods optimization across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and optimize end-to-end procurement and purchasing processes within the packaging category.
Manage supplier performance and foster collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Build strategic supplier partnerships to improve forecasting, purchase orders (POs), and invoicing efficiency.
Oversee the complete PO lifecycle: creation, submission, maintenance, and closure.
Execute materials planning using SAP ERP/MRP, Min-Max systems, and consumption data.
Identify and implement process improvements across procurement activities.
Develop supplier scorecards and monitor performance KPIs.
Conduct regular supplier meetings to align on demand and forecasts.
Resolve PO/invoice discrepancies and manage return-to-vendor (RTV) processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
Proven experience in SAP for procurement or planning roles.
Strong communication, analytical, and supplier management skills.
Experience specifically in the packaging category is highly desirable.
