This position is based in our new state of the art Head Office in Maynooth - an open plan office, with wonderful collaborative working areas, subsidised canteen, EV charging points, free parking and is easily accessible by car or public transport.
You will be required to do weekly site visits.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
Service Desk Management
Monitor and manage the IT service desk, ensuring timely resolution of tickets
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for end-users
Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed
On-Site Support
Visit construction sites to set up and maintain IT equipment, including laptops, printers, and network devices
Provide hands-on support to site-based staff, ensuring minimal downtime
System Administration
Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory
Administer and troubleshoot Office 365 services, including email, SharePoint, and Teams
Assist in managing Azure cloud resources and configurations
Equipment Provisioning
Build and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices (iOS and Android)
Ensure all equipment meets company standards and security policies
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets
Induction and Training
Conduct IT inductions for new starters, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary hardware and software
Provide training and guidance on company IT systems and best practices
General IT Support
Maintain and update documentation related to IT processes and user guides
Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT aligns with operational needs
Stay up-to-date with emerging IT technologies and trends relevant to the construction industry
Requirements
Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably in a construction or field-based environment
Proficiency in managing Active Directory, Office 365 Admin, and Azure
Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills
Experience with building and configuring laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to construction sites
