Job Title
Paediatric/RGN Nurse - Home Support
Shift Details
Shift Length: 7 hours
Shift Time: 15:00 – 22:00
Days per Week: 1–2 shifts available (Wednesday and Thursday)
Location: Lucan, Co. Dublin (accessible via public transport)

Role of Registered General Nurse
To provide safe, quality, person-centred care to a Child within their home environment. The successful candidate will be part of a Nurse-led care team providing clinical care in a home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in Paediatric care and be able to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to a child - Diagnosis of Spina Bifida
Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump
Requires bowel washouts
Intermittent catheter care
Management of PEG fees
Pressure area care
Medication Management
Care of a child with a disability
Manage enteral feeding and medication
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Provide play and family support
Provide excellent evidence-based nursing care, implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified.
Transfers by hoist
Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client.
Promote abilities, independence, and safeguard the client's interests at all times
Work closely in partnership with family members and the clinical team
Communicate effectively with the client, family, clinical team, and MDT, reporting on the client's clinical needs as required.
Maintain accurate and professional clinical notes
Qualities

Qualifications & Experience
Current registration on the live register of NMBI
RGN/RCN trained
Paediatric nursing experience is desirable
Previous experience in home care is an advantage, full training and support provided
