Financial Controller
WALK continues on a challenging and exciting phase of development guided by our most recent strategic and operational plans. We are offering an exciting opportunity for someone to join our finance team.
Responsibilities
* Produce annual budgets, prepare statutory and monthly accounts, manage cash flow.
* Develop and drive compliance across the organisation with internal financial controls.
* Periodically review and update key finance policies, procedures and frameworks.
* Coordinate with managers in key organisational areas to develop and roll out individualised analyses and budgets.
* Liaise with stakeholders across the organisation to produce the annual budget.
* Ensure all statutory requirements are met, including taxation, charitable and legal requirements.
* Support the payroll function as required.
* Profile cash flows and ensure the organisation operates within its banking facilities.
Eligibility Criteria
* Recognised accountancy qualification (CAI, ACCA or equivalent).
* Experience with SAGE or equivalent accounting software.
* Experience in preparing budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
* Technical accounting knowledge, e.g. the Charities SORP.
* Team or project management experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and Word).
