SLR’s established Acoustics and Vibration Team has achieved ongoing commercial and geographical expansion over the past year, with a healthy forward workload and recent hires expanding the teams’ presence into locations including Bristol and London. With a strong pipeline of potential projects, the team is looking to continue this growth through the appointment of an Graduate Acoustician to support our Team in Kilkenny and Dublin.

The team undertakes a range of environmental and buildings acoustics projects across a range of sectors, including built environment, education, mining and quarrying, waste and power; and provide legislative and development planning advice to a wide range of clients; and we are seeking a graduate or consultant who can complement or potentially add to this breadth of expertise.

As well as playing a key role in the delivery of existing projects, you will have the opportunity to expand, diversify and grow our portfolio of projects and clients and make a real contribution to the Acoustics team - and to help shape the continued growth of the team.

The role

Your key responsibilities will be:

* Preparation of noise and vibration surveys.
* Completion ofnoise and vibration surveys across Ireland.
* Support to Senior Team in the preparation of fee proposals, andreport writing.
* Liaising with technical staff and project managers based in other SLR offices.
* Seeking opportunities through business development and networking to expand Acoustic capabilities across the UK and Ireland, as well as cross-selling other services.

About you

We ask that applicants hold a 2.1 degree in a relevant subject to Acoustics and Vibration as well as a full and valid drivers license, along with:

•Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

•Good report writing skills.

•Ability to wok as part of a team and, if necessary, to manage a team of internal and external consultants.

•A keen ability to show initiative when necessary and be involved in business development or industry events.

•Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and some working knowledge of GIS. In design and MS project experience desirable but not essential.

•Excellent time management.
