Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our Belfast client who are currently recruiting for a full time and permanent Legal Bookkeeper.
Working closely with the Partners of the firm, you will be responsible for assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of a busy solicitor's firm's finance department.
Applicants are preferred to have worked in a legal setting but not essential as other bookkeepers will be considered - the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of invoicing, finance, book-keeping.
Duties Ensuring all finance records are up to date & accurate on the firm's finance system.
Reconciling bank statements Accurate and timely processing and recording of incoming and outgoing payments Receiving customer payments in person and over the telephone Liaising with suppliers and payment of supplier invoices Preparing and submitting VAT returns via legal accounts software Checking & posting bills & invoice Liaising with the firm's accountant to assist in their preparation of statutory returns Criteria: Previous experience within a bookkeeping role is essential Good grasp of basic accounting standards and financial processes Good communicator with the ability to work well in a team Competent on Microsoft Office Suite Please send CV to Colleen Farquharson via the apply link Brook Street NMR is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
