Overview
Consultant Paediatrician – General Paediatrics - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract. Role Location: Carrickmines 360 Clinic. A full-time, 6 month fixed term contract post has arisen within Vhi for a Consultant Paediatrician – General Paediatrics. The Consultant will work alongside the existing consultant General Paediatricians to further advance the development of General Paediatrics and the capacity within this service to provide a responsive service to our customers alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical duties across general and developmental paediatric services.
* Primarily support the general paediatric clinic assessing, diagnosing and treating children with a range of clinical and developmental conditions.
* Be part of the paediatric MDT, including nursing, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, psychology.
* Support the implementation of the service specification for paediatric services within Vhi H&W.
Education & Experience
* Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of paediatrics.
* Experience and/or specialist interest desirable.
* Experience of delivering care within the Irish health system – either private or public.
* Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values.

* Strong teamwork & communication skills, especially across an MDT.
* Strong service development skills with a focus on quality improvement and assurance.
