Graduate Engineer
SimoTech are seeking a motivated Graduate Project Engineer – Automation & CSV to join our Engineering Services team in Cork. This role is suitable for a recent engineering graduate with a strong academic foundation in industrial automation and an interest in Computer System Validation (CSV) within regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Support automation project delivery activities including design review, configuration, testing, and commissioning.
Assist with development and execution of CSV documentation including IQ/OQ protocols, test scripts, and summary reports.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.
Support integration of equipment and control systems within manufacturing and utilities environments.
Support change control processes and documentation updates throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams including Automation, Validation, IT, and Operations.
Provide on‑site technical support during installation, startup, and qualification phases.
Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Basic working knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
Basic working knowledge of DCS platforms and industrial networking concepts.
Understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV) principles and GMP environments is desirable.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
