Meat Processing Operative

Shop Manager
Hours
Full-time, 39 hours per week
Rate
€14.79 per hour / €30,000 per annum
The Role
As a Meat Processing Operative, you will be a key part of our production team, supporting the preparation, handling, and processing of meat products in line with company standards, food safety requirements, and daily production targets. This role is hands‑on and requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing, handling, and processing meat products in line with production plans
* Supporting primary and secondary packaging activities, including weighing, labelling, and packing where required
* Operating tools, machinery, and packaging equipment safely and efficiently
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times
* Following SOPs, quality standards, and health & safety procedures
* Working collaboratively as part of a production team to meet daily targets
* Ensuring work areas are kept clean, organised, and audit‑ready
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a meat processing or food production environment
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physical environment
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards
* Good timekeeping, reliability, and teamwork
* Willingness to follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
