Moorehall Lodge Drogheda is a purpose-built nursing home located in Dublin Road, Co. Louth.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized resident person‑centred care plans within an agreed framework, in accordance with best practice, HIQA standards and grounded in recent evidence‑based nursing research.
Provide holistic, person‑centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Develop and maintain close links with the residents, family and guardians.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal input for the resident.
Maintain appropriate and accurate written records and reports regarding resident care.
Foster a philosophy of care that reflects Moorehall Lodge Drogheda’s commitment to quality, using an evidence‑based approach, in a safe environment maintaining the dignity of the resident.
Promote a model of care that is facilitating, enabling and mindful of the resident’s right to autonomy and consent.
Act as an advocate for the residents and their families and provide information to empower them in decision making, goal setting and problem solving in order to optimise their contribution and facilitate their participation in community‑based activities.
Qualifications / Experience
Nursing qualifications (essential)
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (essential)
At least 3 years experience working as a staff nurse in a nursing home (desirable)
Evidence of continuous professional development
Leadership, administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of duties
Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
