They are currently recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Dublin office to play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for some of the most exciting building projects in the UK, Ireland and internationally.
Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client-focused electrical building services expert to join the team at their Dublin office, to play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for critical projects in Ireland. You will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines, including external local engineering partners, to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects.
You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business and will use your wealth of expertise and leadership skills to manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead critical electrical design projects from early concept through to project completion
* Work in close partnership with clients and cross‑disciplinary teams.
* Deliver robust, high‑quality engineering solutions that meet project objectives
* Assist senior management in maintaining and developing client relationships
* Oversee electrical‑related project budgets and produce cost reports for clients
* Develop effective electrical design approaches and technical strategies aligned with client requirements
* Collaborate with Project Directors to define scope, technical needs, and key deliverables
* Attend site visits, conduct inspections, and evaluate technical submissions from contractors
* Produce comprehensive site documentation, progress reports, and confirm installations comply with approved designs.
* Guide and support junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and skill development
* Coordinate closely with engineering and technical colleagues to produce fully integrated designs
* Create BCAR inspection plans, monitor installation standards, and track project progress
* Act as the company's representative during site activities and technical meetings
What you will need to succeed
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
* 5+ years' experience in consultancy-based electrical design
* Confidence in leading designers and supporting junior engineers
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative, practical approach to problem-solving
* Be proficient in the design of electrical systems for buildings, including in the use of design software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Amtech, DIALux)
