Heavy Diesel MechanicWe are looking for a provisional and confident Heavy Diesel Mechanic to service and maintain a range of heavy diesel equipment. This role suits someone who can work on their own initiative, stay organised, and keep machines running reliably day to day.Main ResponsibilitiesService, repair, and troubleshoot heavy diesel engines, including:Diesel generatorsMobile diesel shreddersMaterial handlers and loading shovelsSmaller forklifts and telehandlersCarry out regular inspections and preventative maintenance.Record and track service intervals for all equipment.Order spare parts, filters, oils, and general service items.Keep stock of all service parts and consumables.Assist with the daily running of the plant, stepping in where needed.Maintain equipment quickly and professionally when required to keep operations running smoothly.Work with the team on normal day-to-day yard and plant activities.RequirementsProven experience working with heavy diesels (or strong provisional experience with confidence to grow into the role).Strong mechanical knowledge across a range of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely.Good record-keeping and organisational skills.Able to manage parts ordering and keep service stock levels right.Reliable, practical, and able to work well as part of a small team.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, ApprenticeshipPay: From €45,000.00 per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionEmployee assistance programOn-site parkingRelocation assistanceLicence/Certification:B Driving Licence (required)Work Location: In person
