Dance Ireland is the national organisation for dance in Ireland.
We enable the development of dance as an art form, a professional practice, and cultural activity across the island of Ireland, providing support, resources and representation; working towards a sustainable dance sector in Ireland.
We operate DanceHouse as a national centre of excellence – a flagship home for dance in Dublin city centre, comprising six studios and an Artists' Resource Room.
Our members represent the breadth of the dance sector and include professional dancers and choreographers, organisations and educational institutions, and pre-professional and early career dancers and makers.

About You
You are someone who can see yourself working intensely with a small team, supporting us to deliver our professional activities and member services, particularly focused in DanceHouse, Dublin.
You understand that this means collaborating, being flexible, and supporting others as a team so we can all achieve our best work together.
You are very organised, enjoy planning, and feel a great sense of achievement when you finish a task or project.
You are comfortable with multi-tasking and have excellent administration skills to ensure the smooth running of our programme and events.
As well as strong communication, administrative and organisational skills, you should have empathy and understanding of the needs of professional and pre-professional artists and organisations who look to Dance Ireland for representation and support.
Reporting to the Programme Producer, the post holder will maintain strong working relationships across the organisation, acting as a key first point of contact for Members engaging with Dance Ireland, with a friendly and confident communication style.
Experience with websites, customer, venue, and event management software is an advantage (e.g. Artifax, Mindbody).
Key responsibilities
Acting as the key point of contact for the Members of Dance Ireland
Maintaining membership database and Members' online directory
Ensuring Artifax and Mindbody booking systems are updated with information on Members
Processing and approving membership applications- subject to approval from Programme Producer/CEO
Securing membership renewals; setting up and initiating new Members into the community
Evaluation of Member Offer based on feedback from the sector and the identified needs of dance community, in line with Dance Ireland's mission and strategy
Representing Dance Ireland at national and international events, as required.
Co-ordinating Artist Support and 1:1 Sessions: hosting these sessions as well as co-ordinating them for the rest of the team
Coordinating the Open Call for Dance Ireland Residencies - scheduling and liaising with artists for their week-long residencies.
Issue contracts and confirm all aspects of bookings
New Movements public programme - scheduling studio sharings for artists within our programme and hosting the events.
Coordinating the scheduling and database of Members' Studio bookings.
Monitor and track bookings – liaising with Venue Officers
Track Membership data and engagement for reporting to Programme Producer and CEO
Coordination of Annual General Meeting and associated Membership communications
Prepare reports as required for the Board
Monitor and update the membership budget
Offering additional support to the Venue Team, including reception duties to cover breaks and holidays where required.
Monitoring and capturing attendance data - Members Studio, Artist Advisories, New Movements.
Terms of employment:
Contract: 7 months, subject to six-week probation period.
Hours: 2.5 days per week; please note no overtime is paid; TOIL is in operation.
Due to the nature of the role, periodic evening & weekend work will be required.
This position is offered as a part-time role, with at least two days a week based at DanceHouse.
We anticipate a start date at the end of October/beginning of November 2025.
