Senior Commercial Manager
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the project team by providing commercial expertise and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Your primary objective will be to maintain accurate and timely cost and value reporting, as well as cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reporting: Ensure robust, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels.
• Cost Management: Carry out cost forecasting, update monthly CVR, cost, and commercial plans, and have accountability for commercial performance and strategy processes.
• Process Improvement: Help ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit and actively seek to improve processes and procedures.
External Relationships:
• Main Contracts: Ensure that any main contracts entered into have terms and conditions that are appropriate, with commercial risks identified.
• Supply Chain: Engage the supply chain with the correct contract terms and conditions, and foster client relationships.
• Subcontract Letting: Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation, and financial accounting, and experience dealing with County Councils.
Internal Relationships:
• Team Management: Effectively assist in managing the commercial team, including cost clerks and commercial support staff, and ensure effective interaction between the commercial team and operational site teams.
• Supervision: Supervise and mentor Quantity Surveyors, and set clear targets and measures for their performance.
