Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team. As a Social Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a welcoming, caring, and supportive environment, ensuring a high standard of care is delivered.
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with HIQA regulations and maintain awareness of current standards in relation to effective care and support for people with disabilities.
* Treat individuals with dignity and respect at all times.
* Be attentive to the physical and emotional needs of those you support.
* Encourage participation in day-to-day activities, such as cleaning, budgeting, cooking, menu planning, shopping, and recreation activities.
* Contribute to the provision of stimulating activities and assist with the development of hobbies and interests.
* Escort and assist on group outings arranged.
* Prevent any forms of abuse and ensure individuals are not subjected to bullying or its threat.
Leadership and Development
Under the direction of the Social Care Leader/Nurse, you will manage, develop, and support staff individually and as a team, including induction, supervisory support, and training in line with Foundation practices and relevant regulations.
