Deputy Pricing Manager
in Westport, Co.
Mayo on a permanent basis reporting to Pricing & Trading manager.

Job Summary
The Deputy Pricing Manager will assist Portwest to develop and implement pricing strategies, considering factors like company revenue goals, competitor prices and consumer demand; they also conduct financial analyses to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies and monitor market trends that helps provide a variety of information.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Pricing Champion to ensure Portwest maximise sales across multiple markets
Work with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure correct information is available to allow optimal pricing decisions to be made
Assess quoted opportunities to increase sales submitted by Area Sales Managers
Research competitors pricing in multiple markets, benchmark with Portwest
Assess the Portwest commercial position across multiple markets and make recommendations for adjusting pricing where necessary
Maintain customer terms and conditions on Portwest systems
Assist the Pricing Manager and other Senior Managers on various pricing related tasks
Requirements
Commercial acumen, flexibility and initiative need to be demonstrated
High level of numeric skills and attention to detail needed
Proficiency in Excel is a must, proficiency in Access would also be useful
Analytical and research skills should be demonstrated
Ability to take the initiative and lead projects
Ability to work in, and contribute positively, to a small team and engage in a positive way with the wider stakeholders within Portwest
Ability to "put the shoulder to the wheel" during periods of heavy workloads
