The nature of the role is to provide support to the Compound Manager across all duties in the compound. The role requires full adherence to SHEQ procedures and Health & Safety policies and procedures.Benefits€37,000 - €39,000 per year depending experiencePension SchemeStaff Purchase Schemes: Tyres and ToolsEmployee Assistance ProgrammeDiscounted Gym MembershipBike to WorkDuties And Responsibilities IncludeDrive efficiency from all compound /port operationsImplement new efficiency improvements as requiredEnsure all KPI's are metEnsure the timely and accurate completion of all damage paperwork as per customer requirementEnsure handling standards for all units are maintainedEnsure quality and inspection standards for all units are maintainedEnsure work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the required standardMaintain and adhere to ISO management system and processes and develop where appropriateEnsure compliance standards for drivers and transporters are maintainedObserve company policies and procedures and lead by exampleManage/supervise staff on the port & compound to achieve stated objectives.Communicate effectively with staff and ensure good working relations.Resolve performance issues expediently.Report reoccurring performance issues to the Compound manager.Be available to cover shift requirements as required.SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProven people management/leadership skillsQuality decision making skillsSupport of company values, standards, policies and proceduresA flexible attitude to work/hoursExcellent organisational and planning skillsGood IT skills and be willing to improve.Equal Opportunities StatementNational Vehicle Distribution is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
