Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a experienced, innovative, Data Engineer to work with a team of engineers to fight against money laundering and fraud by powering advanced analytics and financial crime detection by building resilient, governed, high-quality data platforms.compose!
What’s involved
You will help lead the team and design, build, optimisation, and support of scalable Spark / PySpark data pipelines on Databricks (Batch + Streaming).
Mentor engineers on distributed data performance, partitioning, file layout (Delta Lake optimization), caching, and cost/perf trade‑offs.
Review code
Support incident response (root cause, postmortems, preventative engineering).
Hybrid role; office attendance per Mastercard policy.
What you need
You must have 2-3 technical lead experience
8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
Excellent knowledge of Data pipelines, data bricks
Expert knowledge of Spark and Python
Strong experience working with AWS
overheats.
