Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Project / Senior Engineer (mechanical/chemical/process or similar suitable experience), to work on projects in our gas and utilities sectors, including supporting RPS’s delivery on GNI Framework projects. This includes a variety of design projects in gas transmission and distribution. RPS is also active in renewable energy sectors such as wind, solar, and hydrogen feasibility studies.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the gas, oil, or similar industries and will become a senior member of our Gas & Utilities team. Experience in Ireland’s gas/energy industry is advantageous but not essential. The role involves leading design tasks and mentoring team members.

About The Role:
You will support the delivery of gas/energy projects and provide professional, proactive service to clients. Responsibilities include:
* Leading engineers and technicians in producing design reports and construction packs
* Surveying existing gas infrastructure
* Liaising with third parties
* Developing design solutions per standards and client needs
* Assessing hazards in line with safety regulations
* Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings, and estimates
* Advising clients on infrastructure projects
* Exploring innovation and sustainability opportunities
* Reporting progress
* Presenting design reports to clients
* Supporting team development
About You:
* 3–10 years post-graduate experience in energy or gas sectors
* Experience in designing energy/utilities infrastructure, especially gas in Ireland or elsewhere
* Knowledge of ATEX regulations and design (IGEM/SR/25 is a plus)
* Valid driver’s license
Qualifications:
* Level 8 Engineering degree
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
