Assistant Project Manager
North Kildare, Leixlip
Salary: €65,000 – €75,000 (DOE)
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a large‑scale data centre project in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
This role suits someone who is either already operating at Assistant PM level or a strong engineering professional ready to step up into project management on major works.
You may be coming from a smaller contractor or have project experience on lower‑value or residential projects and are now looking to progress your career on a complex, high‑profile build.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and delivery of works on site
* Assist with programme management, subcontractor coordination, and progress reporting
* Monitor quality, health & safety, and compliance with project specifications
* Support cost control, procurement, and variation management
* Liaise with site teams, consultants, and client representatives
* Contribute to project documentation, reports, and handover processes
Candidate Profile
We are open to a range of backgrounds, including:
* An existing Assistant Project Manager
* A Junior Project Manager from a smaller‑scale contractor
* A Senior Engineer, Site Manager, or Site Foreman with strong leadership skills and clear Project Management capability
You may not have managed a large‑scale project independently but should demonstrate readiness to take that next step.
Requirements
* Degree or qualification in Engineering or Construction Management
* Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations
* Proven ability to coordinate teams and manage multiple workstreams
* Ambition to progress within project management on major projects
