FPGA Design Engineer – Global SVE / Wireless & Emulation
We are currently partnered with a leading technology company, looking to expand their Global SVE (System/Validation/Emulation) team with experienced FPGA Design Engineers to support the development of next-generation wireless products and custom emulation hardware.
***This role will be full time on site in Cork, Ireland***
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement critical FPGA solutions for emulation hardware and infrastructure needs
Work with industry-standard FPGA tools and technologies (Xilinx, Intel) to develop RTL/HDL designs
Mentor and guide team members, contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing
Contribute to the continuous improvement of design tools, technology flows, and validation methodologies
Develop customer-facing FPGA applications with strong performance and reliability
Key requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field
Extensive experience in FPGA design or related work experience
Hands-on experience with System Verilog, RTL/HDL, FPGA platforms (Xilinx Ultrascale/Ultrascale+, MPSoC, Intel Stratix) and associated FPGA tools
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently
Experience with clock domain crossing, high-speed design, and timing closure techniques
Exposure to VLSI design concepts and logic design
Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and Agile project management principles
