Civils Estimator Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Civils Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing pre-construction estimating and quantity surveying activities, as well as preparing detailed cost breakdowns and contract documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage pre-construction estimating and quantity surveying activities.
* Issue tender enquiries and perform accurate take-offs.
* Evaluate quotes and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Maintain procurement schedules and manage sub-contractor payments.
* Prepare and review key commercial documents and attend PCM meetings.
* Administer contracts, including early warnings and compensation events.
* Submit valuations, produce cost reports, and forecast project finances.
* Finalise sub-contractor accounts and manage project budgets.
* Support Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process, value engineering, and risk management.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A degree in a construction-related discipline.
* At least 5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in civils.
* Excellent communication skills.
