Main Duties and Responsibilities Ensure effective and efficient running of Shannigans for all food and beverage service and being involved in daily operations in a hands on capacity. To liaise with Senior Management ensuring that these areas have sufficient equipment, resources to meet business demands, serviced and in good working order. To assist the Bar Manager to control costs and ensuring effective controls of costs, i.e. labour, cost of sales, departmental expenses. Maximise all sales opportunities in order to achieve budgets - devise an upselling plan for Shannigans Bar. To assist the Bar Manager in being actively involved in raising the profile of the Bar, both internally and externally. To ensure a cleaning schedule is in place and updated when required. To ensure daily/weekly cleaning is carried out and signed off when completed as per standard.Regular checks are carried out of same. To work in conjunction with Bar Manager in carrying out monthly stocktakes of beverage stock as required and investigate any discrepancies.Taking an active role helping reduce the overall beverage. To ensure that the bar is opened up and closed down correctly and in accordance with standards. Where necessary to ensure that all billing is correctly posted on the day. To ensure the team meets the required standards of service and uniform as per SOP. To be actively involved training new staff members and ensuring continuous refresher training of the existing team. In conjunction with the Bar Manager to assist in function bar operations ensure that bars are rostered, set up and run smoothly on the day. Candidate needs to meet the following criteria: - Possess previous experience in a bar setting. Must have excellent attention to detail. Must be well organised and have a level of high service standards Have the ability to work under pressure. Have a friendly, chatty, and outgoing personality. Benefits.
