Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre is seeking dedicated individuals to join our expanding childcare service team in Tiptoes Community Childcare Centre. Early Years Educator (AIM) 20hrs per week. (Term-time in line with ECCE) Minimum requirements Experience in Early Years Care and Education QQI/FETAC Level 5 or above in Early Childhood Care & Education (degree desirable) Child-centred focus with knowledge of Early Years regulations and quality frameworks (Siolta and Aistear) Commitment to health and safety standards Strong interpersonal and communication skills Fluent English Speaker Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility and effective prioritization skills Deadline for Applications: Wednesday the 01st of October at 1pm.Interviews will take place the week of the 06th of October (Onsite). PERSON SPECIFICATION 1) PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE RELATED TO THE POSITION Experience working in Early Years Care and Education 2) RELEVANT TRAINING OR QUALIFICATIONS QQI /FETAC Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Care & Education 3) SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong interpersonal and communication skills including fluent English speaker. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. To actively participate in the encouragement, learning and discovery of the childrens play experiences. To participate in the planning and execution of the daily routine. To involve the children in a variety of play activities and experiences that encourages their development, and sense of identity. To see each child as an individual and support their individual development. To attend to each childs physical needs as appropriate in a safe, hygienic, pleasant and dignified manner. To participate in the assessment and observation of the children in the room. To witness the administration of medicine. To participate in relevant training opportunities and whole company events where they arise. To actively participate as a member of the childcare team and wider whole company in promoting a positive and supportive working environment. To adhere to best practice in relation to corporate governance, GDPR, health and safety and confidentiality principles and practice. To work from a high level of professionalism with initiative and flexibility. To participate in maintaining hygiene/cleaning standards of the room daily/weekly. To participate in maintaining hygiene/cleaning standards throughout the centre. To act as Key worker for children in the room availing of supports under the access and inclusion model To take the Lead role in documentation of child observations for children availing of supports under thee access and inclusion model. Leasing with the Better Start early years specialist and Management around supports to be implemented for children availing of support under the Access and Inclusion Model.
