Responsibilities
The Role
As a Document Controller, you will manage our digital systems—Viewpoint for Projects (VFP) and Field View (FV)—ensuring the smooth flow of project information throughout the full lifecycle. You'll be the go-to expert for digital platforms on site, supporting teams, training users, and keeping our documentation systems compliant and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the project's Common Data Environment (CDE) and Digital Field Tool (DFT) per our Digital Project Delivery (DPD) procedures
- Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing support for project teams, designers, subcontractors, and clients
- Maintain robust naming conventions and workflows in alignment with ISO 19650 standards
- Curate, verify, distribute, and retrieve all project documentation
- Configure status reports, workflows, distribution matrices, and control logs
- Collate operation & maintenance manuals, H&S, quality, environmental, and BCAR files
- Attend project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Provide cover for other document controllers as needed
Experience
What You Bring
- Strong experience managing digital systems with large volumes of project data
- Advanced user of VFP and FV (or similar CDE/DFT platforms)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and training skills
- Knowledge of ISO 19650, BS 1192, and PAS 1192 protocols
- Confident working with multidisciplinary teams and the supply chain
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
Desirable
- Experience configuring systems aligned to ISO 19650 standards
- Background in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with change control processes in digital platforms
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrable knowledge of document management standards (ISO 19650, BS 1192, PAS 1192)
- Ability to develop training materials and support diverse project teams
