Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

If you are interested in the caring profession or becoming a carer then this is a fantastic opportunity for you. The role includes full training to qualify as a carer while also having the day-to-day experience of working in a busy day-care centre for older adults. The position will give the participant real life experience looking after older adults in a healthcare setting. This includes facilitating the clients to engage in activities, while maintaining a safe, clean environment for all. This is a varied and interesting position for anybody looking for a new challenge.
