A well-established GP practice in the Glasnevin area is seeking an experienced Medical Secretary / Practice Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of the surgery.The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to the GPs while managing the day-to-day operations of the practice. This role requires strong multitasking, organisational, and communication skills, as well as experience in healthcare administration.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive medical secretarial support to GPs, including managing correspondence, referrals, and patient records.Lead, motivate, and support the reception and administrative teams.Manage daily workflow and ensure the smooth running of practice operations.Maintain compliance with all relevant healthcare and data protection regulations.Handle HR functions such as staff scheduling, induction, and basic performance support.Manage patient communications and act as a key contact for patients and external stakeholders.Support service improvements and assist with practice development initiatives.Candidate Requirements:Minimum of 3 years' experience in a medical secretary or practice management role within a busy GP or healthcare environment.Strong knowledge of Irish healthcare systems and general practice operations.Excellent organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Socrates software and MS Office is essential.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.A relevant qualification in Medical Administration or Practice Management is highly desirable.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed termContract length: 24 monthsPay: €20.00-€25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekWork Location: In person
