The Stock & Procurement Administrator will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Procurement and Stock Control departments, ensuring efficient day-to-day management of stock and procurement processes. This pivotal role supports data accuracy, stock reconciliation, and the smooth coordination of purchasing and reporting activities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the wider procurement and stock teams, contributing to the effective running of operations across the business.
Stock & Procurement Administrator: Key Responsibilities
* Carry out accurate stock control, reconciliation, and periodic stock takes
* Provide operational support during product trials, process reviews, and deep dive investigations
* Identify and elevate potential stock issues, communicating effectively with the relevant teams
* Support the onboarding and removal of stock items within the ERP system
* Reconcile weekly stock takes, investigate discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy
* Assist with invoice query reconciliation together with Procurement and Finance colleagues
* Participate actively in departmental meetings and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
* Support material requirement planning, stock forecasting, and NPD (New Product Development) tracking activities
* Assist in the creation and maintenance of new product codes within ERP systems
* Support seasonal stock planning such as BBQ and Winter management programmes
* Contribute to sustainability initiatives and reporting within procurement and stock functions
* Provide ad hoc administration for procurement and stock-related projects as required
* Deliver general administrative support tasks and AOB (Any Other Business) requirements as needed
Essential Skills & Competencies for Stock & Procurement Administration
* Demonstrates strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems (such as NAV, SAP, or equivalent)
* Excellent numerical skills and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy
* Strong communicator with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Shows the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrates proactivity, adaptability, and a sense of urgency in daily tasks
* Positive attitude combined with a keen desire to learn about procurement, stock management, and supply chain processes
Qualifications & Experience Required for Stock & Procurement Administrator
* Previous experience in administration, stock control, or procurement support roles is desirable
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and data entry/ERP systems
* Experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or FMCG environment is advantageous
* Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
