Full time/perm post, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Sunday) and reporting to Theatre Nurse Manager. Our client, a private hospital based in Galway is seeking an experienced Theatre Nurse to join their team. The role will ideally suit qualified nurses who have experience working in the Theatre Department in scrubbing, circulating, perioperative and PACU Nursing Care. Key Duties: Has the ability to organise and perform activities related to the role in an efficient and effective manner. Deliver skilled, practical nursing care pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively to patients who come into the Theatre Department. Participate in the care, custody and administration of medications as per hospital policy. Ensure that surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use. Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Advocating for the patient's needs and safety throughout the surgical process. Essential Criteria: Must be fully registered with An Bord Altranais/NMBI and have an active PIN. Must have a minimum 2 years' experience working as a Staff Nurse in the Theatre Department.
