Senior Site Engineer

As a Senior Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a major construction project. You will work closely with the Project Manager and site team to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency from groundworks to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all setting out, surveying, and site engineering activities
- Manage the implementation of design and engineering solutions on-site
- Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to ensure accurate execution of technical details
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Conduct regular quality inspections, monitor concrete pours, reinforcement, and structural elements
- Maintain records including daily site reports, site diaries, method statements, and ITPs
- Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders
- Support junior engineers and mentor graduate staff
- Provide input into construction methodologies, sequencing, and temporary works planning
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a site engineering role on large-scale projects
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, concrete, steel, and groundworks
- Proficient in setting out using Total Station, GPS, and AutoCAD
- Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors and mentor junior staff
- A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to quality and safety
- Familiarity with BCAR, Irish Building Regulations, and ISO standards
- Right to work in Ireland and a valid driver's licence
