Job Title: HR Coordinator

Role Purpose
The HR Coordinator will provide comprehensive HR administrative support for site operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation, while assisting in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and welfare of all employees. This role will be pivotal in maintaining an efficient HR function within a fast-paced cold storage environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (digital and paper).
Process HR documentation, including contracts, amendments, and policy updates.
Assist with payroll administration by preparing and verifying HR data.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Support recruitment activities, including posting job ads, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
Coordinate new hire inductions, including safety training relevant to cold storage operations.
Prepare starter packs and ensure all compliance documentation is complete.
Employee Relations & Support
Act as a first point of contact for HR queries from staff and managers.
Support managers in addressing minor employee relations issues in line with company policy.
Promote employee engagement initiatives and welfare programmes.
Training & Compliance
Track mandatory training requirements (e.g., manual handling, PPE usage, food safety).
Maintain HR compliance with cold storage health and safety regulations.
Reporting & Coordination
Prepare HR reports for management, including headcount, turnover, and absenteeism.
Assist with HR projects, policy reviews, and audits.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
Previous experience in an HR administrative or coordination role.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Desirable:
CIPD qualification (or working towards).
Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or cold storage environments.
Knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practices.
Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Team player with the ability to work independently.
Comfortable working in a cold storage operational setting (appropriate PPE provided).
