PAYROLL OFFICER

A dynamic technology and infrastructure firm is looking for a Payroll Officer to join their Finance team. The role involves managing payrolls across multiple European countries, including the UK and Ireland in-house, as well as coordinating with outsourced and shadow payrolls in regions such as Germany, Netherlands, Finland, Norway, Spain, and Belgium.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across international payrolls, resolving queries efficiently, and ensuring compliance with tax and pension legislation. You will work closely with internal teams and external providers to support payroll processes for approximately 150 employees.
What You'll Do:
* Run and oversee monthly payrolls for multiple countries
* Liaise with external payroll providers and pension authorities
* Process new starters, leavers, and payroll adjustments
* Ensure compliance with PAYE, NIC, and local payroll legislation
* Prepare reporting and support audits
* Maintain accurate payroll records and databases
What We're Looking For:
* Part-qualified accountant or equivalent experience
* Solid knowledge of payroll processes and European tax rules
* Experience with payroll systems (SAGE experience a plus)
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
