Overview
Data Analyst role at FBD Consulting, LLC. The Pricing and Analytics team falls under the remit of the Chief Underwriting Officer and collaborates with sales, claims, actuarial, finance and IT. We are looking for a data analyst to help utilise data and enhance operating processes. If you are data curious, excited about deriving insights from data, and motivated by having impact on the business, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
* Develop, update and manage reports/datasets
* Further automation and enhancement of current processes
* Develop Tableau dashboards on departmental data sets and generate insights from these outputs
* Support broader business in other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Education: Third-level qualification in a science, mathematics, engineering or related discipline with 1+ years relevant experience working as a data analyst/scientist in a commercial environment. Other related experience/factors will be considered as appropriate.
* Experience: Excellent SQL skills
* Experience: Tableau Desktop or other visualization tools; Strong Excel
* Desirable: Experience with Python and/or Alteryx
* Experience with large data sets, data manipulation, and data cleansing
* Insurance experience is advantageous but not essential; must possess appetite to learn and understand and enhance
