Financial Controller – Dublin 12

Company Overview:
O'Neill & Brennan are recruiting a Financial Controller on behalf of our client to lead and develop the Finance Team in Dublin. This role is accountable for maintaining strong financial controls, directing all key finance operations, and producing clear, timely financial insights that inform strategic decisions. The successful candidate will lead the Finance function and promote a culture of performance, trust, and ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all core finance functions, including payroll, AP/AR, credit control, cash flow, and banking.
* Deliver accurate weekly and monthly financial reporting, including management accounts and debtor insights.
* Maintain strong financial controls and continuously improve systems, processes, and compliance standards.
* Manage statutory reporting and liaise with external auditors, advisors, and regulatory bodies.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance Team to ensure high performance, accuracy, and collaboration.
* Support wider business operations through budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and HR-related administration.
Qualifications and
Experience:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
* Industry experience in Construction an advantage.
* Proven senior financial management experience, ideally as a Financial Controller or similar.
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
* Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing finance function.
* Excellent analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
