Location: Lucena Clinic, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services Initial Base: Rathgar, Dublin 6 Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people presenting with moderate to severe mental health disorders, to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow.
Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.
Assistant Director of Nursing Quality and Patient Safety (Permanent, Full-time) Saint John of God Community Services, Community Mental Health Services Lucena Clinic are now inviting applications for the post of Assistant Director of Nursing (Quality & Patient Safety).

Role Summary The Assistant Director of Nursing will report to the Director of Nursing within Lucena CAMHs and will provide line management and supervision to a skilled group of nursing staff.
The Assistant Director of Nursing will integrate with Multidisciplinary Teams and assist in the management of clinical risk, clinical incidents, patient flow and crisis.
The Quality Patient Safety (QPS) role supports Saint John of God Community Services, Community Mental Health Service within Lucena CAMHs in ensuring that a safe quality service is provided to service users within the service.
The role will involve overseeing the quality, safety, and risk management programmes across the service, including managing compliance with complaints, audits & health and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: (i) Are registered, or are eligible for registration, in the Psychiatric Nurses Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) (Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann).
And (ii) Have 7 years post registration psychiatric nursing experience and 5 years psychiatric nursing management experience.
And (iii) Have successfully completed a post registration programme of study, as certified by the education provider, which verifies that the applicant has achieved a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) or can provide written evidence from the Higher Education Institute that they have achieved the number of ECTS credits equivalent to a Level 8 or higher standard in a health care or management related area.
And (b) Experience of working in a position that involved quality and risk management with an awareness of best practice guidelines for mental health services as relevant to this role.
And (c) Experience working within a CAMHs service is desirable.
And (d) Candidates must possess the requisite clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Remuneration Salary Grade 2542 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING (MENTAL HEALTH) on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale €73,028 - €88,123 per annum pro rata Initial location The initial location of this role is Lucena Rathgar.
However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS's other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
