The Metropole Hotel is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.


Job Title: Food & Beverage Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Food and Beverage Supervisor at Trigon Hotels plays a key role in maintaining quality and efficiency in food and beverage operations. Responsibilities include team management, customer service, operational oversight, and contributing to financial management to ensure a dining experience that exceeds standards and enhances guest satisfaction.


Operational Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the efficient running of the department.
2. Monitor team operations and demonstrate strong delegation skills.
3. Maintain standards and adhere to SOPs.
4. Conduct daily briefings and ensure clear communication.
5. Delegate daily tasks effectively.
6. Maintain a strong presence on the floor.
7. Possess in-depth knowledge of food and beverage.
8. Collaborate with other departments.
9. Manage booking systems, tills, and ordering processes.
10. Plan for business levels and support roster management.
11. Assist with administrative tasks and oversee holiday accrual and coverage.
12. Ensure GDPR compliance and data management.
13. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep standards.

Financial Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with setting and achieving departmental targets.
* Manage cash-up procedures and understand revenue and profit generation.
* Focus on budgets, KPIs, and manage supplies and stocktaking.
* Assist with payroll management and departmental costings.
* Manage beverage costs.


Customer Key Responsibilities:

* Support guest satisfaction and respond to feedback.
* Handle complaints effectively and manage online reputation.


Team Key Responsibilities:

* Lead by example, motivate, and participate in recruitment and onboarding.
* Ensure comprehensive training and recognize team achievements.
* Engage with team members internally and externally.
* Promote cultural intelligence and charity engagement.
* Conduct appraisals, manage performance, and handle disciplinary issues.


Measurable Key Responsibilities:

* Track feedback scores, employee satisfaction, and KPI results.
* Recognize awards and industry recognition.
* Implement sustainable practices and ensure accessibility.
* Provide HR reports and help meet revenue targets.
* Monitor team engagement and manage costs to optimize profit.


Qualifications:

* Experience in a supervisory role within hospitality.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of food and beverage operations, inventory, and cost control.
* Emotional and cultural intelligence.
* Ability to work independently and flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Understanding of legal, health, and safety regulations.
