AtkinsRéalis, one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland, is seeking Designer’s Site Inspectors Roads based in Cork.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the execution and supervision of large civil engineering projects, including major highway schemes. They should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, collaborative, responsible, and possess excellent communication skills. The roles will involve working as part of the AtkinsRéalis site-based team, building relationships with the construction contractor, the local authority employer, and their representatives.
The Designer’s Site Inspectors Roads will ensure construction compliance with the Construction Requirements and other applicable contract provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate between the Contractor and the design team on construction and design issues, including drainage, earthworks, pavements, and other roadworks elements.
* Perform duties of the Designer’s Site Inspector, such as supervising construction operations, inspecting works, and managing Non-Conformance Reports.
* Collaborate with the contractor and employer to ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental regulations, contract requirements, and best practices.
Key Requirements:
* Extensive experience supervising major highway construction projects, including drainage, earthworks, pavements, and other roadworks, as Clerk of Works or Inspector.
* Proven experience managing quality assurance on highways and infrastructure projects.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience with NEC or other collaborative contract forms is preferred.
