Bristol Myers Squibb has been in operation in Ireland since 1964, employing over 650 people across a range of activities and business units.

Ireland is home to External manufacturing’s global headquarters, the business unit responsible for managing manufacturing contract operations (CMOs) and ensuring reliable supply of products to patients across the Bristol Myers Squibb global network.

This includes managing third-party contract manufacturers and internal manufacturing sites. In Ireland, External Manufacturing has two sites: Global Headquarters in Dublin 15 and a distribution centre in Shannon, Co Clare.

The Role

BMS External Manufacturing is recruiting a fixed-term Contract Manager, Supply Chain Planner, reporting to the Associate Director, Supply Chain.

The ExM Supply Chain Planner Manager performs proactive supply planning, ensuring customer requirements are understood, planned for, and delivered.

The Manager owns all aspects of planning for relevant products within their portfolio and maintains demand and supply accuracy, updating the supply plan in BMS Oracle and SAP systems, managed through Rapid Response planning. This role has no direct reports.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and manage supply plans for relevant materials.
* Maintain stock overviews, including supply/demand requirements and inventory levels.
* Work with the Global Supply Chain Inventory Optimisation team to set targets.
* Plan and maintain inventory levels of starting materials & APIs.
* Investigate SAP/Rapid Response demand discrepancies and engage with stakeholders.
* Align SAP demand with actual requirements, resolving discrepancies.
* Review forecast changes monthly and update forecasts accordingly.
* Maintain accurate planning master data.
* Manage supply impacts of regulatory changes.
* Coordinate with product strategists and supply chain teams to ensure alignment.
* Coordinate supply planning with VPT representatives to minimize delays.
* Place and manage purchase orders in SAP.
* Contribute to metrics discussions and review meetings.
* Communicate inventory risks to relevant teams.
* Build relationships with supply chain counterparts and participate in global meetings.
* Lead supply chain meetings with customers and develop contingency plans.
* Support volume planning for budget and projections.
* Identify and resolve supply constraints proactively.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

* Knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP and SAP BW reporting.
* Understanding of planning master data.
* Knowledge of BMS Supply Chain, products, and markets.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Understanding of Contract Manufacturing Supply Chain Operations.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
* Understanding of regulatory requirements and constraints.
* APICS or related qualification.
* 5+ years of Supply Chain experience in a global manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of cGMP environment operations.
* Experience with Rapid Response planning system is beneficial.
* Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
