We are currently seeking a mechanically minded individual to join our team of workshop technicians. The successful applicant will be responsible for fabrication and installation of basic vehicle adaptions and general workshop maintenance. This is a hands-on role most suited to candidates who have previously worked in a mechanical environment, who can analyse a problem, design a solution with assistance and perform necessary tasks quickly and efficiently. Workshop technician responsibilities include;
* Basic metal fabrication (cutting, grinding, welding), assembly and installation of adaptions
* Installation of bespoke and adaption kits according to company procedures
* Drive vehicles into and out of workshop as required
* Completion of basic administrative procedures such as basic data entry, uploading photographs and inspection forms based on NSAI requirements
* Maintenance of a clean and tidy workspace
* Adherence to all company health and safety and human resource policies
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is willing to learn under supervision and ultimately work independently to produce high quality results.
Required skills include;
* A full, clean, and valid EU driver's licence
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
* Desire/ability to learn new skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Professional and mature attitude to work
* Strong attention to detail while working to strict deadlines
* Good standard of English
Desirable skills include;
* Previous mechanical/fabrication experience
* Basic computer skills with some knowledge of MS Word and Excel
* Knowledge of automotive electrics
* Knowledge of hydraulics
* Previous experience of working in a quality system
* Experience in small equipment maintenance
Terms & Benefits
* Full-time, permanent position
* €30,000 to €32,000 per annum depending on experience (annual performance reviews). The opportunity exists for candidates presenting with significant levels of experience to be upgraded to a more senior position and salary.
