Head of Finance(Permanent Position)Purpose of this RoleThe Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the Irish Management Institute (IMI), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Financial Strategy and PlanningDevelop and implement a financial strategy aligned with overall organisational goals and objectives and provide strategic financial guidance to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of DirectorsLead the annual budgeting processesMonitor financial performance against established KPIs and provide regular reportingIdentify opportunities for financial optimisation and efficiency improvements2. Financial Management, Reporting and OperationsOversee all financial operations, including accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations and best practicesPrepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and quarterly Board reporting packManage cash flow, debt, and financial risk to include implementing and maintaining robust internal controls and financial policiesCoordinate with other departments to ensure a finance business partnering approach is maintained throughout the organisationBuild and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including auditors, regulators, and banking institutionsReview and approve key financial contracts and agreementsCo-ordinate preparation of financial information for regulatory submissions and compliance purposes3. IMI recognises the importance of flexible work arrangements and promotes a hybrid work model that combines in-person and virtual work.
