Background:
At Highfield House student accommodation in Dublin 7, managed by Mezzino Student Living we are looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Assistant, to assist our Maintenance Manager.
Main responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and Property Manager, the Facilities and Maintenance Assistant will be part of the team responsible for the overall safety, presentation, good repair and cleanliness of the premises.
Duties will include:
* Providing General Maintenance within the building and its grounds as instructed by the Maintenance/Property Manager
* To notify the Maintenance Manager should a maintenance/cleaning problem require further attention and/or external contractors
* Ensure that a safe, secure and clean environment for residents, staff and visitors is maintained;
* Assist in undertaking and completing weekly/monthly compliance tasks and record the results
* Ensuring that all resident queries and complaints are dealt with in a professional and efficient manner
* Ensuring the public areas are kept clean & tidy
* Undertaking all tasks allocated by the Maintenance Manager/ Property Manager are completed
The ideal candidate will have:
* Some experience in a maintenance department or working as a general handyperson/cleaner.
* High personal standards and good attention to detail
* Basic computer skills
* Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate with both coworkers and our (mostly) young adult customers in a professional manner
* Basic knowledge of maintenance trade(s)
* Happy to work in a fast paced environment, where you will learn on your feet
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
