My client, dual located in North Dublin and Louth is a Top 20 accountancy and taxation practice .They has evolved significantly over the past decade to become one of the most modern and cutting-edge firms in today's market. It has a significant market share and presence across the north-east which is attributed to its exceptionally talented workforce, strategic planning and adoption of new technologies & methodologies to now be labelled a trendsetter within the sector.Due to continued growth they are currently looking to add to their teams both Audit Seniors and Assistant Managers. The roles offer a clear path to senior positions, with progression built into your development journey and ongoing strategic involvement in the firm's growth.Your key responsibilitiesSupport the planning, execution and delivery of Audits in a timely manner.Meet with management to discuss the finding of AuditsAssign roles to the audit team membersIdentify risk matters to the businessReview the work of Junior AuditorsManage and solve any issues or discrepancies in data or figuresUnderstand the commercial objectives of the businessLiaise with external advisors if necessaryManage client expectations during the auditCollate Annual Financial StatementsTrain junior auditorsManage portfolio of audit clients and bring files to partner review stageSkills and attributes for successIn-dept understanding of auditing and control practicesProficiency in software packages to include Bright AP, Sage, Xero and BrightpayEnhanced mathematical and analytical skillsStrong attention to detailThe ability to work well under pressureThe ability to work to strict deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work with professionalism and integrityA strong drive to excel professionallyThe ability to adhere to company policyStrong business management skillsProficiency in using audit working papers including Omnipro and My Working PapersProficient with MS Office applicationsProficient in preparing and submitting basic company and personal tax returnsRequirements for the roleACA, ACCA, CPA QualificationMinimum of 2-5 years years post qualification experienceThorough knowledge of current auditing techniquesExperience across the entire audit processApplication of IFRS and local GAAPTrack record of leading, planning, execution and reporting on auditsExcellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to managementProven experience in delivering external audit and assurance engagementsUnderstanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategiesCompliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements.SalarySalary - DOEHybrid workingEarly finish FridaysAnnual subscriptions paid24 days holidaysFor more information on this role or any other Accountancy roles contact Conal O'Connor on or click on the apply button belowTo view all live jobs with Brightwater and market insights, please visit our website;
