Cybersecurity Engineer - Security Architecture & Integration
Location: Dublin
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Salary: €60,000 - €70,000
Workday is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to help secure our platforms, applications, and integrations. This role is perfect for someone with hands-on security engineering experience who wants to influence secure design, support cloud-based systems, and work closely with development teams.
The Role
You'll partner with Workday's engineering teams to embed secure design principles into software and infrastructure. You'll assess system architectures, support acquisitions, and help implement controls that protect Workday's data and services.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with developers to integrate security into application and cloud services.
* Assess system architecture and suggest improvements for security and compliance.
* Support security programs and integration for acquired companies.
* Mentor junior team members and foster a positive security culture.
* Automate repeatable security tasks and controls where possible.
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years' experience in cybersecurity, cloud, or software engineering.
* 2+ years with public cloud technologies (GCP, AWS) and automation.
* Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and penetration testing.
* Experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, Golang, or Rust.
* Strong communication skills to work with Security Champions and development teams.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; relevant certifications are a plus.
