Here at Americold Monaghan, we are now recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Part Time) on a FTC until the 1st week of January 2026.
As a Maintenance Engineer, your role will be to assist the Engineering Supervisor with the daily function of running the Maintenance department. Dealing with mechanical, electrical and refrigeration planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site to ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose and downtime is kept to a minimum.
This position will require you to control and supervise external contractors to ensure Americold H&S policies are always met and adhered to and to ensure the department's risk assessments and SOPs are updated and compliant.
You will drive KPI targets through continuous improvement within the maintenance team and assess individual training needs and implement development plans for each team member.
Experience Required
Skill / Knowledge:
* Understanding of Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance
* Refrigeration knowledge/experience
* Ammonia knowledge
* Warehouse/Distribution knowledge/experience
* Computer knowledge, Windows, Excel, cloud-based maintenance software
* Formal Supervisor training
Qualifications (i.e. critical requirement to perform the role)
* NVQ, BTEC, NNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* 17th/18th Edition Qualified - desirable
* IOSH Managing safety.

Working Hours
Minimum 3 days out of 5. 8:30am - 5pm (4pm finish on Fridays)
