This role requires an experienced and capable individual with a strong practical foundation in facilities management or a related discipline within an industrial or manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team to maintain and improve buildings, grounds, services and facilities at the company’s site in Castlepollard.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilities ManagementTake full ownership of the site facilities, including buildings, grounds, utilities, and infrastructureManage a planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedule for all facilities-related assetsOversee and coordinate all facility repairs, upgrades, and improvement projectsManage relationships with various stakeholders to include contract negotiations with external contractors, service providers, and vendors, ensuring quality of work and value for moneyMaintain accurate records of all facilities assets, maintenance activities, and associated costsTeam LeadershipLead, develop, and motivate a small facilities/maintenance/cleaning support teamAssign and prioritise daily tasks and workload for the facilities teamFoster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the teamHealth, Safety & ComplianceEnsure all facilities are fully compliant with relevant health & safety legislation, building regulations, and environmental standardsConduct regular facility inspections and risk assessments, addressing any issues promptlySupport fire safety management, including maintenance of fire detection/suppression systems and emergency exitsEnsure compliance with insurance requirements and coordinate facility-related auditsManage waste disposal, recycling, and environmental sustainability initiatives on-siteUtilities & Energy ManagementMonitor and manage site utilities including electricity, water, compressed air, and HVAC systemsIdentify and implement energy efficiency improvements to reduce costs and support sustainability goalsTrack utility consumption, analyse trends, and report on key metricsLiaise with utility providers and manage service agreementsProject ManagementLead facilities-related capital expenditure (CapEx) projects from planning through to completionManage site layout changes, office refurbishments, and infrastructure upgradesPrepare project proposals, budgets, timelines, and progress reportsSustainability InitiativesIdentify and implement energy-saving and waste-reduction initiatives to support the company’s sustainability goals.Experience and Qualifications requiredA recognised qualification or demonstrable track record in Facilities Management, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline.Alternatively a relevant SOLAS accredited Trade certification and 5 years hands on experience would be an advantage.Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, building regulations, and environmental complianceExcellent organisational skills with proven experience in people management.Excellent communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to manage multiple prioritiesBenefits26 days holidaysCareer Growth and Development Opportunities, Wellness ProgrammeEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Company GymHealth Insurance for you and your familyDefined contribution pension schemeCompetitive SalaryThe closing date for receipt of CVs is Friday 17th April, 2026.
