Injection Moulding Process Engineer

CPL Recruitment is assisting a valued client in sourcing an injection process moulding engineer to join their team at a manufacturing site that has undergone major investment and expansion.
This role supports the introduction of new products to site, working with a friendly and experienced team.
Prior medical device and/or injection moulding experience required. Day role.
NPI Process Engineer
* Introduces new products into the company, compiling standard specifications for each process and monitoring all existing production.
* Ensures process optimization using statistical techniques.
* Works with Production Group leaders (PGLs) in troubleshooting processing problems.
* Establishes relationships with customers and Equipment/Raw Material suppliers for continuous improvement and business development.
* Solves customer-related problems/issues with the Quality department as needed.
* Instructs others regarding manufacturing skills or knowledge, and assists in training employees on new processes or systems.
* Coordinates documentation in Production and Technical areas, reviewing systems with Group Leaders and the Quality department.
* Communicates regularly with external suppliers and provides feedback on issues to the management team.
Requirements
* National Diploma in Engineering (preferably Degree in Plastics Engineering).
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the injection moulding industry.
* Good knowledge of Injection mould tooling and design.
* Knowledge of Injection Moulding (standard process and Multi component), Processing, Ancillary equipment, and automation systems.
* Experience in Medical, Packaging, or technological industries preferred.
* Familiarity with Real-time monitoring systems preferred.
* Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE).
* Understanding of WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen principles.
* Proficiency in computer systems, integrated manufacturing systems, word processing, and spreadsheets.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to document work performed.
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment and travel as required by the position.
