Main Purpose: We are seeking a Financial Controller to take responsibility for the finance function and core HR administration of the business.
This is a hands-on role covering financial reporting, statutory compliance, internal controls and people processes.
The Financial Controller will work closely with senior management and will act as a key support in decision making, ensuring the business operates in a compliant, well-controlled and organised manner.
This role will also require support to be provided, as needed, for various operational initiatives.
This role will suit someone who is recently qualified, comfortable in an SME environment and ambitious with an appetite and ability to pick up new concepts quickly.
Reporting to: Managing Director Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow Ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes Ensuring accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet, including reconciliations, accruals and provisions Preparation of annual financial statements and management of external audit process Management of all tax heads in conjunction with the companys tax advisors Oversight of payroll, liaising with payroll providers as required Management of employee records, contracts, and personnel files Providing support to other areas of the business where needed with regards to financial aspects of each department.
Involvement in ad hoc projects as required.
Support the parent company as requested Qualifications/Skills: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA Recently Qualified Audit background preferred 1-2 years experience in a Financial Controller role Strong technical skills and experience Highly organized and efficient person Self-driven and assertive with excellent stakeholder management skills Other Skills & Abilities include: Excellent time-management and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Problem solver and critical thinker mindset Proven ability to manage multiple projects Personable, approachable, coupled with a sense ofhumour Open to fast paced work style and results driven Strong ethical conduct, focused on customer / client relationships Experience working in a Global team desirable
