Operational Lead Job Description

Purpose of the Operational Lead role:
To lead the operational execution, delivering a salesfloor that is ready to trade, taking responsibility for coordinating resources to serve and sell effectively, and to lead the floor in the absence of the Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the operational execution, coaching colleagues on best practices and driving productivity in readiness for store opening.
* Allocate resources effectively to deliver a seamless customer experience.
* Enable all daily operational processes to be implemented efficiently across their area of the store, at the correct times.
* Coordinate the team to deliver a clean, safe and well-presented store environment.
* Play a key part in creating a positive team atmosphere that is inclusive of everyone.
* Role model exceptional Customer Service standards.
* Role model the company behaviours and Colleague Expectations across the store.
* Support Store Managers by sharing observations of colleagues to help drive high performance and recognize great colleagues.
* Support nearby stores if operationally required.
* Responsible for being a key holder and responding to call outs as needed.
* Responsible for tasks related to the opening and closing of the building, including vehicle receipt, temperature controls, logging operational issues with relevant Helpdesks, cash handling and compliance in peripheral hours.
